Congrats to our newest Premier Health “DifferenceMaker!”

Cassandra joined our team in 2015 on July 1st, and is serving her community as an LPN along with her St. Francis Urgent Care team in Monroe, LA. Cassandra was asked what led her to seek a career in medicine and she said that her personality played a large role. “I chose healthcare because I consider myself to be a kind, caring, and compassionate person. These are traits that are needed in the healthcare industry.”

“I like interacting and caring for my patients,” Cassandra responded to the question of what she especially liked about her job. “Each patient is different, but they should all be treated with professionalism, kindness, and value. Staying positive and reassuring the patients that they’re receiving quality care and the most appropriate treatment is part of that. When I’m being personally seen in a medical setting, I expect to receive good patient care and to be treated as if I matter, so that’s how I treat my patients.”

Her positive attitude, her kindness, and the respect she shows to her patients are just a few of the reasons why Cassandra was nominated as DifferenceMaker. Her actions are an example every day of Premier Health’s values of Service, Respect, and Quality. We wish to exemplify our other core value, Gratitude, by thanking Cassandra. “It feels nice to be recognized for a job well done,” she said about being named DifferenceMaker. “As a nurse, I love smiles, words of kindness, and expressions of gratitude from my patients.
