St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe is unique in that the 105-year-old facility is the first acute care healthcare facility started by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady in Louisiana.

Today Premier Health operates two successful St. Francis Urgent Care clinics in the Monroe area as part of its joint-venture between St. Francis Hospital and Premier Health. Since it opened, St. Francis Urgent Care has become a trusted source of non-emergency, walk-in care in Monroe and West Monroe.
