Each year, the Urgent Care Association honors those who have, in some way, advanced the cause of the Urgent Care Industry. Each winner is nominated by their peers and selected by the Urgent Care Foundation Awards Committee, and we’re very proud to say that two of our Premier Health leaders have been chosen to receive awards at the upcoming UCA Conference. Founder and Chief Medical Director Dr. Kevin DiBenedetto is being awarded the 2024 Advocacy Award for his help in creating the Private Radiologic Tech Program. This program, which is aimed at addressing current shortage of Rad Techs, was created with the approval and cooperation of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Directors. Dr. DiBenedetto also worked with others to get approval of a virtual remote supervision operating procedure, which he ultimately succeeded in.

Our CEO, Steve Sellars, is also being honored with the 2024 Quality and Safety Award, which recognizes those actively involved in quality/safety-improvement initiatives focused on improved safety and patient outcomes in Urgent Care. Steve’s hard work and many years of experience in managed care and health systems have given him insight into how we can continue to do just that, and his efforts have not gone unrecognized.

In addition, Our VP of Training and Clinical Development, Lisa Bishop, was elected to the board of the College of Urgent Care Medicine, and affiliate of the UCA. The board works together to create guidelines for best practices, education, and more. Bravo to all three for all they’ve done for the industry, and for Premier Health. We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next!
